'AI helped to model the impacts of steel plant closures, guided the transition to carbon-capture technologies, and now powers our city’s smart grids. 'One will notice that chimneys no longer darken the sky but emit sporadic puffs of spores from the carbon-capture parks. In place of rubber apron-clad factory workers are horticulture experts tending to the mushroom forests, and AI scientists wiring the next predictive model for climate resilience.Looking ahead, Port Talbot reveals the incredible potential of sustainable transformations. Such changes, once feared, have proven to deliver a prosperous future that honours the past, while courageously forging a new and sustainable path forward.
